Jesus said: “For the Son of Man came to seek and save the lost.” (Luke 19:10)
The word “save” refers to more than the salvation we received when we came to know Him as our Savior and Lord. “Save” also means to be made whole, to be restored, to be set free. As Christ came to bring so great a salvation to the world, He continues His ministry by the power of the Holy Spirit filling believers and the Church. As a result we experience healing through the anointing of oil and laying on of Hands on Sunday mornings. Healing also occurs as we experience God’s presence in Sunday’s worship, the hearing of the Word, Communion and fellowship. Freedom Prayer , during the week, is also a time of healing as people are set free from strongholds and released into God’s original plan/destiny for their lives.
Luke 4:18: “ The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because He has anointed me to proclaim Good News to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.”
